The Testdriver Service uses a convenient browser-based interface that makes benchmark automation easy. Testdriver users can use all non-administrative functionality with any modern web browser. No other software required.
You use the Testdriver Service to set up and schedule benchmark runs on endpoint systems, monitor progress and status, analyze results, and produce reports.
Open the Testdriver Service locally
On the system that is providing the Testdriver Server, you can open the Testdriver Service in your browser using localhost:port where port is the port defined in the Testdriver Admin Tool under the Service tab. The default port is 8087.
Open the Testdriver Service on the network
You can use the Testdriver Service on any system or device with a browser that is in the same network as the Testdriver Server.
Use your browser to open https://console_ip:port/index.html where console IP is the IP address of the Testdriver Server—the system running the Testdriver Service—and port is the port defined in the Testdriver Admin Tool under the Service tab. The default port is 8087.
Access control
By default, users must provide a username and password to log in to the Testdriver Service. User authentication can be enabled or disabled with the Testdriver Admin Tool. For details, see how to add users and manage access.
The Testdriver Service uses HTTPS. Stateless session cookies are used for user authentication. Cookies are valid for five minutes. Cookies are invalidated on the server when you log out.
Multi-tab user authentication—logging in on different tabs in the same browser with different usernames—is not supported, but you can use different browsers for multi-user authentication if needed.
