Install the Testdriver Admin Tool

Testdriver requires one central system to run the service, host the database, and provide admin controls. This system is called the Testdriver Server. While this system is referred to as the server, it can be any Windows PC that meets the system requirements for Testdriver On-Premises Edition.

The first step for setting up the Testdriver Server is to install the Testdrive Admin Tool on the system that will be the Testdriver Server. Please see this page if you are updating Testdriver from a previous release.

After unzipping the Testdriver release package, run Testdriver-setup.version.exe to install the Testdriver Admin Tool and the Testdriver Database.

Testdriver creates a “Testdriver” -folder in the root of your system drive (e.g. C:\Testdriver . This folder contains your benchmark result database, log files, configuration files, and the benchmark installer files that are distributed to clients.

After the install is complete, tick the box that says "Launch Product" and click on Finish to launch the Testdriver Admin Tool. Alternatively, launch the Admin Tool from the Windows Start menu or its default location in C:\Program Files (x86)\UL\Testdriver\bin.
