The Gaming test group models a modern PC game experience. It features detailed real-time 3D graphics and many rendering effects. It includes two Graphics tests that measure GPU performance, a Physics test that measures CPU performance, and a Combined test that stresses both the CPU and GPU.
The PCMark Gaming test group uses a modified version of the Fire Strike benchmark test from 3DMark. Unlike 3DMark, the PCMark 10 gaming test runs in a window rather than full screen, and it always runs on a single GPU even if multiple GPUs are available in this system. For these reasons, you should not compare PCMark 10 Gaming test group scores with 3DMark Fire Strike scores.
