How to install Testdriver

  1. Install the Testdriver Admin Tool
  2. Import your license file
  3. Add benchmark products
  4. Add users and manage access
  5. Configure the Testdriver service
  6. Add endpoint systems

Configure the Testdriver service

You can access the Testdriver Service through a web browser from any system with network access to the Testdriver Server. The Testdriver Service itself is configured from the Service screen in the Testdriver Admin Tool.

Service status

Testdriver automatically configures the service with default settings during installation. A green check icon shows you that the service is running.

Click on the Open in browser button to open the Testdriver Service. When accessing the service for the first time, most browsers will warn you that your connection is not private until you accept the self-signed certificate. In Chrome, for example, you should click on the Advanced tab and then the Proceed to site link.

The browser interface can be reached locally using localhost:port where port is the port defined in the Testdriver Admin Tool under the Service tab. The default port is 8087.

You can access the Testdriver service from other systems using a browser to open https://console_ip:port/index.html where console IP is the IP address of the Testdriver Server—the system running the Testdriver Service—and port is the port defined in the Testdriver Admin Tool under the Service tab. The default port is 8087.

Import Custom Certificate

Testdriver uses HTTPS for secure communication over a computer network. The HTTPS authentication may require some environments to have a custom self-signed certificate. Our guide will show you how to create and import a custom certificate if one is needed.
