The Idle scenario measures battery life when the PC isn’t performing any active tasks. The screen is kept on, but there is no other activity other than a small amount of CPU load from running the Procyon application.
Implementation
No activity is performed on the system other than keeping the screen on for the duration of the test. A full screen image is displayed on the screen to standardize the power draw effect of using a light or dark desktop background.
Benchmark result
The UL Procyon One Hour Battery Consumption Benchmark reports battery % drained as the primary metric.
