The application version number applies to the software as a whole. It changes often as we update the application to add new features and ensure compatibility with the latest hardware. We recommend using the latest application version.

A benchmark version number — for example, Office Productivity Benchmark v1.0 — is specific to a test. Benchmark version numbers change rarely and only when absolutely necessary to accommodate changes in third-party applications or bug fixes.


UL Procyon for Mac v2.1.250 - Nov 1, 2024 

This update supports the release of the Multi platform Office Productivity Benchmark on Procyon for Windows version 2.9.1429.

We highly recommend that you uninstall the benchmark first using the uninstall.sh script, before attempting to install the updated benchmark. 

Please note that the default definition file has been replaced with office_productivity_mp.def and previous versions of the definition file are no longer supported.

  • Updated the Office Productivity Benchmark for macOS workload to version 1.3.381 This can be compared with results from the Office Productivity Benchmark for Windows using workload version v1.3.1349 and later. 
    • Results from this version are comparable with results from earlier workloads. however, we recommend you retest using the latest workloads for the most accurate performance insights.
  • Updated the Word and Excel workloads for better comparability with the Multi-Platform Benchmark on Windows.

UL Procyon for Mac v2.0.240 - Sep 24, 2024 

This update fixes an issue with the Microsoft Word and Excel workloads in the Procyon Office Productivity Benchmark for macOS that would cause the benchmark to fail when using Microsoft Office for macOS version 16.86 and above.

  • All documents used in the Office Productivity Benchmark are now stored in an Office Trusted Documents folder.

UL Procyon for Mac v2.0.233 - Feb 29, 2024 

This is a minor update. Benchmark scores are not affected.

  • Added the ‘simple CSV’ option for exporting results. For looped benchmark runs, results are exported into a single CSV file with separate columns for each test.
  • Files and documents are now prelabelled with “Public” sensitivity labels for environments that require documents to have a mandatory label. This does not affect benchmark results.
