A benchmark version number is specific to a test. Benchmark version numbers change rarely and only when absolutely necessary to accommodate changes in third-party applications or bug fixes.

Procyon Essentials v1.1.2813

Aug 17, 2026

AppStartup has been redesigned to use application-level startup completion logging, improving measurement robustness outside controlled lab environments. The scoring constant was also recalibrated to maintain score comparability with v1.0, while version 1.1 remains the recommended baseline for new benchmark results.

  • Appstartup updates
    • The measurement methodology has been changed from Windows messages based to each application logging the moment when the measurement is to be stopped. This was achieved by modifying the source code and creating custom builds of Chromium, LibreOffice, and VSCodium.  The change was introduced to improve robustness on systems outside controlled lab environments, where antivirus, DLP, endpoint security, and other background services can delay application startup and previously trigger "Unusually slow startup times were detected" benchmark failures.
    • The score constant for Appstartup was adjusted to 7392700. This change was made to align the scoring scale in version 1.1 with the previous version, ensuring that a typical mid-range system produces comparable overall scores between versions 1.0 and 1.1. While scores from both versions remain broadly comparable, for the most accurate and representative results, we recommend running new benchmark tests using version 1.1.
  • Video Call updates
    • WinML was updated from v1.8.2124 to v2.1.74
    • QNN EP now runs SoC-agnostic JIT models. Previously, it was compiled specifically for X Elite.
    • Vitis EP now uses an EP-agnostic model. At launch, it was compiled specifically for 3DEP.
    • WinML standalone EP support added for all vendors.
    • Set minimum target for AMD NPU to 7DEP. With this update, the Vitis NPU model shows better NPU residency behavior. Our testing reveals ~13% to 15% improvement in overall score on platforms such as HX370 and AI Max 395 from this update.
    • For all other NPUs, Procyon uses the standalone EP only when the system is offline, and the required execution provider is unavailable.
  • Updated
    • Chromium to 145.0.7632.162.
    • LibreOffice to 26.2.4.2.
    • VSCodium to 1.121.03429.
    • 7-Zip to 26.2.0.0 File operations.
