Each successful benchmark run will generate a 3DMark result, stored in your 3DMark results folder. Results are automatically displayed after a benchmark run, or you can open previous benchmark results from the "All results" page.

Benchmark score

When viewing a score, the overall score for the benchmark will be prominently displayed in orange. This score represents the performance of the computer at the time it ran that benchmark. The higher the score, the better the performance.

Below the benchmark score, the average frame-rate achieved during the benchmark is displayed, as well as some further information about your system.

Please note that computer performance may change due to software updates, the device's cooling being affected by things such as dust buildup and many other factors. For this reason, we recommend running benchmarks regularly to see how your devices' performance may have changed!

Score validation

Each benchmark score is automatically uploaded to the 3DMark.com results leaderboards, and checked to see if the benchmark run correctly performed the benchmark workload. An internet connection is required for this, and results from unrecognized or unreleased hardware are automatically hidden from the public on the 3DMark leaderboards.

Results from the 3DMark Demo are uploaded anonymously, and owners of 3DMark can connect to tie their scores to a 3DMark.com account.

Once a score is validated, you are able to click "compare online" to view your score on the 3DMark.com results site, where you can share and compare your scores with millions of other results. If your benchmark score is labeled as not valid, you can try to validate it by connecting to the internet and clicking 'Validate'. You can also re-run the benchmark. If your Mac keeps on getting repeated invalid scores, we recommend you contact 3DMark support at https://support.benchmarks.ul.com/support/home.

Organizations or members of the Press with a 3DMark for Enterprise or 3DMark for reviewers' license are able to disable this function.

System information

This section shows information about your system and the benchmark run. It also displays if a Macbook was connected to the power socket or running off its battery at the time the benchmark ran.

Performance chart

The performance monitoring chart provides a visualization of the Mac's performance throughout the test.

3DMark for macOS currently can't record realtime hardware data such as temperatures or clock rates as Apple doesn't officially support providing third-party app developers access to this data.
